Not much new to report...

Just back to the 'ol grind. Classes started Tuesday, so there goes all my free time for a few months. Will be very glad when this semester is over and done with, for many reasons!

Weather has been pretty fantastic here. Little cold evenings and mornings, but everything in between is perfect.

Biggest news of late, Aimee's little sis Jess and her fiance, Shane, have officially set the big date. October 17 in a fantastic area in Corpus. We couldn't be happier for them!

Hope everyone is doing well!

A bit of new furniture.

Haven't written in a while, so this may be a little long. We are doing great, both working hard. Me especially since classes are still out. Luckily the real estate biz here has been somewhat active, so Kris and I have been busy.

Friday, my cousin Clay and his new roommate Rochelle moved into our apartment complex. Ross and Cindy followed Clay up with a trailer and a washer and dryer to get him moved in. They graciously treated us to dinner and some good conversation. Was great too see family.
Saturday morning, before we left for Ft. Worth, Jenny and Keith were in town to visit a property near BCS and to help Clay with the move, so they were able to join all of us for breakfast at the Kettle. Was a short visit unfortunately but as always, it was a good one.
Saturday Aimee, Penni and I ventured to the bustling metropolis of Ft. Worth. Originally, we planned to make the trip before my classes start to fetch a very important piece of furniture, but it we lucked out and our trip happened to land on Aimee's Granny's birthday! We stayed with Granny and her two pups, Gabby and Georgia and had a great time.

Here's Aimee and Granny with Penni and Georgia Penni and Gabby hiding noses.

We were also able to visit Steve in Mel at their home. Was great to see them. They were knee deep in organizing their life long collection of paperwork. We also got the grand tour of the back yard and the new shop behind the house. Nice to be in a garage again. Fun stuff!

Aimee's aunt and uncle, Carla and Randy, had offered us a crib that their youngest daughter, Maddie, used when she was a baby, so we gladly accepted their offer. After a birthday dinner for Granny at the Potter's, Maddie, who is now 11, helped me load the crib in the car. She even instructed me on how to properly tie a slip knot to secure the mattress frame to the roof rack. We had a great time.

Without further adu, here is the crib assembled in what has now become our nursery.

Not sure how long the flag will remain, but I will fight hard to keep it there! The crib looks great! We can't thank Randy and Carla enough for loaning it to us!
Monday, Jeremy and Jonathan, Carla and Randy's eldest sons who happen to be twins, somehow convinced their superiors to allow them to follow us home to College Station for a few days. They happen to be aspiring Aggie architects, and have been wanting to see the campus for quite some time. With the help of my cousin/neighbor Clay, we showed the twins around campus for most of the day Tuesday, including the mandatory Freebirds stop in North Gate for lunch. They were impressed with the city and the university, and seem to have a little fire of motivation burning in their eyes. We had a great time and it was great to get to know them better.
Bonus pic! Aimee with crib at 16 weeks!

Hope all is well!

Week 15 Photo

So we had a great week. Not much happened, but it was good. Classes won't start until the 20th so I still have a lot of time on my hands. Work has been steady, thankfully, so I am getting some solid hours this week. The weather has been amazing here, hope it holds out.

We are nearly finished clearing out my former study/man room in preparation of converting it to something more inviting to a little person. Gone are the 4 wise men and the other African sculptures. Gone are my pictures from my travels. All these memories are being put aside to make room for something much more special. Can't wait to surround myself with these new memories. It's going to be an amazing ride!

Here's a pick of the 15 week belly! And look, a beautiful face to go with the beautiful and changing body!

Hope everyone is well!

Update

Had our second Dr. visit today, heard the heartbeat again. Still very amazing. Everything is going as it should! We did make another appointment for next month. This will be a big one. We will finally learn what the sex of our child is. We are very anxious and excited!

Hope everyone is well!
