4 Weeks!!

Our little guy is already 4 weeks old!  Before we know it he will be asking to borrow the car! 

 

He has changed so much in this short time.  Not sure on how much weight he has gained, but he sure feels like he put on a few.  He is becoming more and more aware of his surroundings.  He will lock eyes with you and follow as you move around.  He's starting to make faces in response to our goofy talk, and I swear he has cracked a little goofy smile or two.  Even if it was just one corner of his mouth, it was a smile.

Sunday Post

Wow time is flying! Liam has already been in our lives over a week, and it's amazing how much the little guy has changed already. His complexion and facial features have already changed. His skin is not so red and bronze colored, his little cone from birth is long gone, and his appetite has increased exponentially (so has the volume of dirty d's, too). Sleeping has been a challenge, but that was to be expected.

Aimee is feeling better and better. She has just been an amazing mom. Liam is lucky! (his dad is pretty great, too)

Here are some recent pics. We have had trouble getting a pic with eyes open. Now that the postpartum swelling has pretty much disappeared, he has been opening them more and more. Now the challenge is catching him when he's awake. Sleeping is probably his second favorite thing to do.

Day 3

We are still at the hospital this morning, and expecting to be here one more evening.  Sure would be nice to be back in a human sized bed.  Aimee is recovering nicely and feels ready to be out of the hospital and at home.  It's really nice to be surrounded by so many helpful and knowledgeable people.    Liam is being kind to us by allowing us to sleep.  We have had to set alarms to wake up for feedings.  He seems very content.

 

We have had lots of family visitors the past few days.  Comforting to see all the great people that love this new little child.  He's got great timing.

It's late and we are exhausted, so I am just going to post a couple of teaser pics of our new baby boy. I will certainly bog our blog with photos in the days to come, but for now this is all I have time and energy for.

Early Update

Checked in to the hospital at 4:30 this morning.  As soon as they attached the machines, Aimee was having contractions.  Dr. came in at about 7 to break her water.  Things are progressing well, and she is doing very well.  They upped the induction meds at around 730 so he will be here today!
