Last Dr. Visit in Aggieland

We had our last visit with Dr. Acker this afternoon. Aimee will be leaving for Corpus next week sometime as my finals kick off, then I will join her on the 14th. We already have a Dr. lined-up in Corpus that will see us through to delivery.

Spoke to Andria Riojas (www.andreariojas.blogpot.com), and they are going to deliver little Rylynn a little early than planned. They are already in Dallas surrounded by great physicians and family. Rylynn will be making her appearance this Friday the 1st! Please keep them in your prayers as they take on this challenge!

Hope everyone is well!

Good Sunday

Jenny and Keith decided to come to CS for some Layne's and a visit. Was great to catch up Haven't seen her belly in quite some time, and it was very obvious that her pregnancy was progressing nicely. Yup, she's got a big ol' belly! She looked fantastic and seems to be in great spirits.
Here's some pics of the two bellies together (literally):
Here are our two models! Don't they look amazing!

Probably will get pummeled for that first one, but oh well! It's worth it!

Hope everyone is well!

The Riojas Family

Spoke to my friend Andrea today, and it seems as though a lot has happend since our last conversation. She and her husband are also expecting thier first child, Rylynn Sara Riojas. They are expecting her to be born on Conco De Mayo. Dad, Gilly, is already talking about the birthday parties, including but not limited to, pinatas, sombreros, burros, etc. They can't wait.

Rylynn will be born with a condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. I don't fully understand the condition, but Andrea has lots on her blog, http://andreariojas.blogspot.com/. Please take some time to visit her page, leave them a comment, just say hello.

They are going to need a lot of prayer and suppot the comming months as they take on this challenge.

Little video

Had some time this afternoon, and I wanted to share a song with you. My father and sister-in-law had a gig at University Baptist in K-town. This is a live recording of their performance. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do! It's not the complete version due to Blogspot posting limits, but if anyone wants a copy send a check or money order to.....

Hope Everyone is well!

Great weekend and 27 week update!

Aimee's sister, Jessica, and her soon-to-be hubby made the long, boring drive to CS to see us this past weekend. We had tossed around the idea of going to our first Chilifest, but decided 40,000+ people chugging beer would get old really quick to a lady with child. For those not familiar with Chilifest here's a link: http://www.chilifest.org/. That and the fact that we could eat out a couple times on the cost of a ticket for one of us, so we did just that.

A coworker, well my boss actually, suggested a place on Lake Bryan called the Lakeside Icehouse so I thought we would give it a try. They have a 5000+ sf deck overlooking the lake, edible food, and live music every weekend. We timed it to where we could enjoy dinner before the band started and we could watch the sunset across the lake. The weather was amazing! We had a great time. Wish they could visit more often.
Here's some pics:

After the obligatory stop at Cold Stone, we went home so Jess could help Aimee get into the Easter spirit.

I think Jess did an egg-septional job on the painting!

We had a great time, and we are now trying to catch up on our rest. It's tough trying to keep up with a couple young-in's! We miss them already!

Now for the 27 week photo courtesy of Jessica:

School has been extremely busy, so I have not been able to post much. I will try to do better, but no promises! Hope everyone is well!
